Playstation servers are online now after being completely shut for  more than 24 hours. Sony’s reason behind this

Synopsis: PlayStation servers are back online after a 24-hour outage. Sony initially acknowledged the issue without a fix timeline but later apologized, calling it an operational problem. Some gamers suspect a hack or international attack. To compensate, Sony is offering PlayStation Plus members an extra 5 days of service, hoping to regain goodwill.

Playstation servers are online now after being completely shut for more than 24 hours. Playstation servers went off tomorrow at around 5.30 am impacting mostly all of their services.

Sony’s response after this was only that they are aware of the situation and did not give any approximate time for servers to be back online.

But Today at around 11am. Sony said that they were sorry and they described the issue as an operational issue. Now when you go on their official site, you will see that all the servers which were completely shut down tomorrow, are online showing a green mark beside them that means that players can have access to their services and can start to enjoy the services once again.

Many gamers are happy that the servers are finally back online, but others are wondering what caused Sony’s network to go down for a full 24 hours. It makes sense for people to ask this, as PlayStation is one of the biggest and most trusted gaming platforms in the world. Millions of players use it every day, so when it stops working, it’s a big deal.

Even with its strong reputation and success, Sony still faced a long and unexpected outage on Friday night. This left players everywhere feeling frustrated, upset, and even disappointed since they couldn’t access their favorite games or online features. With such a long downtime, it’s only natural for people to ask: What really happened?

Some gamers are concerned that the reason behind this has nothing to do with Sony but it may be an attempt to hack or an international attack on Playstation Network servers. There was an attempted hack on Playstation Networks in the year 2011. A decade-old event holding data of around 77 million accounts was released  with the outage of nearly 23 days.

Sony tweeted today at 11.am. Saying

“Network services have fully recovered from an operational issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience. All Playstation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service.”

A compensation will be given to its Playstation Plus members as compensation. It’s a small step taken by Sony to please its angry gamers and in hope to be forgiven for this outage. However the servers are back online and ready to work well as before.
